  • Geraniums

One of the most colorful flowers is Geraniums. They grow in almost any type of soil, especially soil with a lot of pores or voids. If you want a geranium for your container garden, it will sure be a vibrant addition to it. Here’s a tip in planting Geraniums: plant it where it can get a lot of the sunshine, then it will produce a lot of flowers when it blooms.

  • Tomatoes

Tomatoes are very popular to grow in containers. They grow in any soil, and they bear fruit that is delicious and nutritious. If you want to plant tomatoes in your container, here’s a tip: use a really large container. It needs a lot of space for its roots to grow, and to hold a lot of water. Another tip is to plant it deep. The roots of tomato plants grow from its stems so you need to make sure it is deep enough to grow a lot of roots. Make sure to get an appropriate sized trellis to support your tomatoes.

  • Peanuts

Planting peanuts in a container can be an interesting endeavour in container gardening. You need to have a huge container, possibly larger than 20 inches across and a foot deep or more. You have to plant one peanut plant per pot so it could have enough space for its pegs to grow. Watering it regularly is needed, but do not water it too much and flood its roots.

  • Roses

Roses, too, can be grown in containers. As most of plants need a lot of space for its roots to fully grow; roses also need it as well. If you would like to plant roses in a container, put an inch of gravel at the bottom of the container to allow proper drainage of water. Also, it prevents the soil from being too compressed. One more thing about planting roses in a container… is to place it where winds are present. Roses love gentle breezes. So if they live inside… take them outside occasionally to make them happy plants.
